Senior Construction Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Specialist to manage our construction projects in Canberra. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract administration and commercial management.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and coordinating project documentation, including subcontractor packages and procurement schedules.
2. Assisting with progress claims and external variations.
3. Reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing subcontracts.
4. Managing and tracking project expenditure, including subcontractor claims.
5. Administering RFIs to clients, architects, and consultants.
To succeed in this role, the candidate should possess:
1. Advanced knowledge of construction/building contracts and commercial management principles.
2. Experience managing head and subcontracts on government building projects.
3. A relevant degree qualification in a field related to construction or engineering.
4. Familiarity with contract law principles and construction-specific Acts and Regulations.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
6. The ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes and decisions.
7. An appreciation for processes and systems.
