Job Role:
A skilled stonemason is required to work in commercial and residential settings, manufacturing and installing engineered stone and natural stones such as granite and marble.
* They will be responsible for reading from plans and templates, working with hand polishers, machine polishers and bridge saws, cutting in for sinks and hotplates, and joining stone tops on site or in the factory where needed.
Requirements:
* The successful candidate must have an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV.
* Alternatively, they must have 3 years of relevant experience as a stonemason.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacturing and installation of stone products.
* Reading from plans and templates.
* Operating machinery such as hand polishers and bridge saws.
* Joining stone tops on site or in the factory.
Essential Skills:
* AQF Certificate III or higher.
* 2+ years of on-the-job training or certification.
* Relevant experience as a stonemason.
