Primary Health North are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing for the St Helens District Hospital to lead and manage a range of inpatient/residential/community based services provided from the relevant rural health facility including the management of resources; and undertake a leadership role in ensuring that clinical and support services/infrastructure meet quality and safety standards and are in accordance with Agency performance objectives and community expectations.

St Helens District Hospital situated on the sunny East Coast just 2 hours from Launceston, is one of eight district hospitals in Primary Health North (PHN). As part of Hospitals North, PHN and SHDH work closely with Launceston General Hospital, our main referral hospital, to enable care at the right time and in the right place for clients in our local and the wider community.
As Director of Nursing, you:
Will be part of the innovative Primary Health North leadership team catering for health care needs of Tasmanians in community and rural and remote settings. Work with and lead an experienced and supportive local team of keen professionals providing wholistic care to inpatient, emergency, community nursing and community services clients accessing SHDH. Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $138,478 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type Salary Packaging:

Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4% Benefits available to eligible candidates:
Paymentof $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
