About this Opportunity
This is a dynamic position that requires a Senior Mental Health OT with exceptional leadership skills and experience in working with young people aged 12-25. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health OT expertise to support young people with complex mental health and social concerns.
The role involves delivering targeted practical interventions with clients to support their short- and long-term goals towards achieving psychosocial recovery, individual independence and identified vocational activities of interest.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in relevant acute, community and mental health settings, and a commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based, evidence-based and recovery-oriented approaches.
They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including problem-solving ability and conflict resolution skills, as well as sound oral and writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted practical interventions with clients to support their short- and long-term goals towards achieving psychosocial recovery, individual independence and identified vocational activities of interest.
* Build a therapeutic alliance with identified clients and actively engage them in the planning, delivery and evaluation of their care.
* Manage a caseload of clients and provide clinical leadership to Grade 2 OT.
* Undertake holistic comprehensive assessments in collaboration with the client using motivational interviewing and self-management approaches.

* MINIMUM 7 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN RELEVANT ACUTE, COMMUNITY AND MENTAL HEALTH SETTINGS
