Job Title: Senior Mining Engineer
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Mining Engineer. This role will require strategic and hands-on leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to engage with individuals and teams across a diverse organisation.
Reporting into the Strategic Planning and Project Development team, your primary responsibility will be to support our operational team in a dynamic work environment which requires you to roll up your sleeves and think on your feet.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support mine design including pit, dump and slimes cell design staging and modification, infrastructure and mine layout.
* Provide technical contribution to the development and submission of operational licenses and approvals processes.
* Act as the primary owner of process and practice improvement between the mine planning and operations team.
* Deliver the short-term mine plan including development of planning inputs, stakeholder engagement, and summaries of physicals, outputs and future requirements.
* Provide project management support to small/medium scale projects.
* Manage and improve the operational and design processes including mine design, metallurgical accounting and reconciliation standards.
* Proactively identify risks and opportunities in the short-term and tactical planning horizons.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
* 5+ years of mine operations experience in the resources industry preferably in hard rock.
* Unrestricted Quarry Manager's ticket (preferred).
* Competency with major recognized mining design and scheduling software such as Surpac, APS, ATS or similar.
* High degree of communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
* Strong analytical skills.
