SIL House Manager / Team Leader – Disability Support
Prospect Hill is seeking an experienced and hands‐on House Manager / SIL Team Leader to oversee 2 Supported Independent Living homes across Townsville. This leadership role combines participant support, staff mentoring, quality oversight and operational accountability to ensure exceptional outcomes for both participants and teams
This is a key leadership role where you will be the consistent on‐the‐floor presence across homes, ensuring participants receive safe, respectful and high‐quality support while guiding and mentoring support workers in their day‐to‐day practice.
You will play a vital role in maintaining stability, routines and quality across services, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Compliance Manager, roving management team and central administration support.
Key Responsibilities
Participant Support & Daily Operations
Provide direct support with all activities of daily living including personal care, domestic tasks, medication assistance, manual handling, behaviour support, transport and meal preparation
Coordinate and attend medical and community appointments
Implement and monitor individual support plans, behaviour support plans and risk management strategies
Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes, incident reports, shift handovers and participant records
Liaise professionally with families, guardians and key stakeholders
Provide on‐shift leadership, guidance and practical support to support workers
Model best practice, professionalism and consistent routines across homes
Mentor and support staff development through coaching and reinforcement of policies and procedures
Build a positive, accountable and team‐focused culture
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure homes operate in line with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational requirements
Complete regular home compliance checks in collaboration with the Compliance Manager
Conduct OHS inspections and ensure actions are followed through
Identify and elevate risks early to maintain participant safety and service quality

You will be supported by a strong central leadership and operations team, allowing you to focus on quality, consistency and participant outcomes.
Direct reporting line to the COO
Ongoing support from the Compliance Manager
Central rostering and administration team
Regular training, guidance and operational support from Head Office
About You
You are a calm, reliable and hands‐on leader who thrives in a dynamic SIL environment.
You take pride in building strong teams, maintaining high standards, and ensuring participants receive consistent, person‐centred support.
Experience in disability support (SIL experience highly regarded)
Experience mentoring, leading or supervising staff
Strong organisational and communication skills
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid & CPR
Valid Driver Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Certificate III/IV in Individual Support (Disability) or similar
Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, incident reporting and OHS compliance
Pay & Roster
Full‐time Monday–Friday roster aligned to participant needs
Typical shifts: 9am–5pm
Optional weekend shifts by agreement
No active nights or sleepovers
