Senior Rheumatology Specialist
The Westmead Clinical School is a leading institution in Medicine and Biosciences, situated at Westmead Hospital in Sydney. We are seeking an accomplished expert to lead our Rheumatology Department in teaching and research.
As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering clinical care and contributing to the department's activities. Your expertise in developing and maintaining a research program relevant to Rheumatology will drive innovation and excellence in this field.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and sustain a research program focused on Rheumatology, ensuring its relevance and impact.
* Provide high-quality clinical care as part of the multidisciplinary team in the Specialty of Rheumatology.
* Contribute to the advancement of Rheumatology Department initiatives, including quality improvement, safety, and service enhancement.
Requirements:
* A PhD in a field directly related to Rheumatology.
* Registration as a medical practitioner in NSW with recognition by AHPRA as a Specialist Rheumatologist and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, or equivalent.
* An established reputation and track record of research in peer-reviewed international journals, along with experience in securing research funding and supervising students.
* Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs within Rheumatology.
* A network of relationships with academic and professional institutions, partners, and stakeholders that can enhance the standing of the Specialty, Hospital, School, Faculty, and University.
