The first of these centres on the development and production of future facing metals. As part of this, Develop has successfully declared commercial production at its Woodlawn Copper-Zinc Project in NSW, achieving and exceeding steady state throughput rates, while rapidly advancing the Sulphur Springs Zinc-Copper Project in WA. In parallel, the company is progressing it's Pioneer Dome Lithium Project in WA.
The second plank of Develop's strategy centres on the provision of underground mining services. As part of this, Develop has agreements to provide underground mining services to:
* Bellevue Gold's (ASX:BGL) Bellevue Project;
* Oceana Gold's (TSX:OGC), Waihi North Gold Project; and
* Core Lithium's (ASX:CXO), Finniss Lithium Operation
Woodlawn Copper-Zine Mine
DEVELOP's Woodlawn Copper-Zinc mine is located in the world-class Lachlan Fold belt in NSW, 250km south-west of Sydney.
Woodlawn is an advanced stage mine with the first two years of underground production already developed and a near new processing plant and related infrastructure in place. Additional investment in the asset over the last two years has yielded a new underground exclusive mine plan, backed by reserves for the next ten years.
The Opportunity:
We're seeking an experienced and driven Senior Mine Surveyor to join our high-performing underground operations team. Reporting to the Alternate Underground Manager, you will lead the Surveying Team and play a critical role in guiding the safe and efficient development of both surface and underground mining activities.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Mine Surveyor will include:
* Lead and coordinate daily survey activities across underground and surface operations.
* Provide accurate survey control for mine development, stripping, stoping, rises, service holes, and diamond drilling programs.
* Conduct regular monitoring surveys to maintain underground alignment, dimensions, gradients, and stope orientations.
* Partner closely with Engineers to support mine design and prepare detailed mine instructions for operational teams.
* Maintain and manage precise survey control networks and statutory mine plans.
* Complete volume calculations and surveys for ore, waste, excavations, and stockpiles.
* Compile, maintain, and update mine plans and monthly operational records.
* Deliver accurate end-of-month reporting and operational physicals to Engineers and Geologists.
* Oversee surface survey requirements, including rehabilitation surveys, excavation and dam monitoring.
* Ensure full compliance with NSW Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022.
* Maintain accurate plans of all underground and surface infrastructure for regulatory submissions and operational use.
The Requirements of the role:
* Tertiary qualifications in Surveying or equivalent.
* Registered Mining Surveyor (highly desirable but not essential).
* Minimum 5 years experience as an underground Mine Surveyor .
* Strong technical capability across surveying software, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting systems.
* Working knowledge of Leica, Trimble, Deswik (highly desirable).
* RePL Drone licence and experience with Elios and DJI model drones (highly desirable).
* Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
