Your new role:
As the Clinical Assistant Supervisor – Operations and Logistics, you will lead and coordinate a small team of Clinical Assistants to ensure the safe, efficient recovery, processing, storage and distribution of donated human tissue for transplantation.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and supporting Clinical Assistants across operations and logistics functions
* Coordinating rosters, workload prioritisation and leave management to meet service demands
* Overseeing tissue distribution, inventory control and consumables management
* Promoting a safe, respectful and collaborative workplace culture
About You
You're a practical, organised leader who thrives in complex clinical environments and enjoys supporting others to perform at their best. You will bring:
* Proven experience supervising or coordinating staff in a clinical, laboratory or regulated setting
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Sound understanding (or ability to rapidly learn) GMP, quality systems and compliance requirements
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑focused approach

About Us
Queensland Tissue Bank (QTB) is Queensland's sole facility for the provision of donated human tissues for therapeutic use. QTB performs all stages of tissue procurement including donor identification, screening and consent; and all stages of tissue preparation including retrieval, processing, storage, dispatch and quality management. Banked tissues include bone, skin, eye and heart valves. Queensland has the largest tissue bank in Australia and provides therapeutic tissue products for both local and interstate use. QTB plays a part in informing state and national policy on tissue banking.
