Barray Alliance (formerly Taree Indigenous Development and Enterprise - TIDE) is an Aboriginal-led, community-focused not-for-profit organisation.

We are proud to deliver the Working on Country Aboriginal Ranger Program, funded by the Commonwealth Government through the National Indigenous Australians Agency.

We are currently seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our team in the following roles:

- Aboriginal Rangers (Male) - Taree and Forster
- Aboriginal Rangers (Female) - Forster
- Aboriginal Ranger Team Leader (Female) - Forster

About the Roles

As part of our Ranger team, youll play a hands-on role in natural resource management, caring for Country, and supporting projects that make a real difference to local communities.

Ranger Roles

As a Ranger, your work will include:

- Undertaking on-ground land and water management activities.
- Supporting cultural and community initiatives.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve environmental and cultural outcomes.

Team Leader Role (Female)

The Team Leader role includes all of the above, plus leadership responsibilities, such as:

- Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of Rangers.
- Providing guidance and coaching to team members to build skills and confidence.
- Reporting on progress, compliance, and outcomes to program management.
- Being a positive role model, fostering teamwork and a strong connection to Country and community.

Essential Criteria Ranger Positions

To be considered for a Ranger role, you must have:

- A current Class C Driver Licence.
- OH&S; White Card.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.

Desirable for Ranger Positions

- ChemCert qualification.
- Experience in land management projects.
- Certificate II, III, or IV in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent).

Essential Criteria - Team Leader Role

To be considered for the Team Leader role, you must have:

- All essential requirements for the Ranger positions (above).
- Proven leadership experience, including coordinating and supporting a team.
- Solid communication and mentoring skills.
- Experience managing reporting, compliance, or program delivery.

Desirable for Team Leader Role

- Previous experience working in Aboriginal land management programs.
- Qualifications in leadership, supervision, or conservation management.
- Knowledge of local environmental and cultural priorities.
