Role Overview
The Facilities Manager – Security Services is responsible for leading and overseeing all security operations at Casuarina Square, including the effective management of the Centre's contracted security services, to ensure a safe, secure and welcoming environment for customers, retailers, staff and contractors.
The role provides hands-on operational leadership to security teams and service providers, driving performance, professionalism and consistency while maintaining a customer-focused approach to security. It involves close liaison with key external stakeholders, including police, emergency services, contractors and local authorities, to proactively manage risk and respond to incidents.
The Facilities Manager – Security Services is accountable for the performance of the security services contract, the implementation and continuous improvement of security strategies, emergency management and risk frameworks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, Centre policies and contractual obligations. The role plays a critical part in incident management, emergency preparedness and the ongoing enhancement of safety and security outcomes across the Centre.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day security operations across the Centre
* Manage and monitor the performance of contracted security services
* Maintain, test and continuously improve emergency management and response procedures
* Ensure appropriate security resourcing aligned to operational demands and risk profiles
* Identify, assess and mitigate security and operational risks
* Oversee loss prevention initiatives to minimise theft, damage and disruption
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, licensing requirements and Centre policies
* Oversee CCTV, access control, alarms and related security systems
* Ensure security systems are operational, compliant and well maintained
* Review incidents, manage investigations and provide clear, timely reporting to management
* Act as the primary security contact for retailers, contractors and customers
* Liaise with police, emergency services and other key external stakeholders
* Develop, review and implement security policies, procedures and training programs
* Support planning for major events, peak trading periods and evolving risk profiles
* Participate in the Centre Management Duty Manager roster during peak periods or as required
Essential Skills
Experience & Key Capabilities
* Demonstrated leadership and people management capability, with the ability to lead, supervise a security team and contracted service providers
* Proven ability to assess risk, manage incidents and make sound decisions under pressure
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Highly developed written reporting and documentation skills
* A high level of professionalism, discretion and integrity
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience within complex, public-facing environments
* Working knowledge of CCTV, access control and security technologies
* Experience in emergency management, evacuation planning and incident response
* Understanding of loss prevention strategies in retail or public environments
* Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience in a customer-focused or service-driven environment (highly regarded)
