Machine Operators and Supervisors
CQ Construction & Civil is seeking experienced and skilled Civil/Bulk earthworks operators to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. As a full-time employee, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our construction and civil engineering projects in the local area.
What you'll be doing
* Operating various heavy plant and machinery, such as trucks, skid steers, rollers, excavators, to complete construction tasks
* Detailed excavations
* Performing routine maintenance and inspections on all vehicles and equipment
* Working collaboratively with the wider construction team to ensure project milestones are met
What we're looking for
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar construction or civil operators role
* Relevant licences and certifications, such as a HR, HC, MC driver's licence, Construction Induction (White Card), and tickets for operating specific machinery, rollers, skid steer, graders and excavators
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to adapt to changing site conditions
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with other trades and project stakeholders
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work tasks
