We are seeking a proactive and relationship-focused individual to engage with employers and create sustainable job opportunities for participants in the Ready to Work program. This rewarding role involves connecting individuals leaving prison with meaningful employment through collaboration and advocacy, while building strong local relationships with employers, industry partners, and community organisations.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers to secure sustainable employment opportunities for participants
* Engaging businesses committed to First Nations employment and inclusive recruitment for people with a history of incarceration
* Proactively promoting participants through reverse marketing and employer engagement
* Coordinating interviews, negotiating employment arrangements, and facilitating wage subsidies
* Promoting the Ready to Work and Industry Stream programs to employers and key stakeholders
* Supporting the Program Manager to deliver and coordinate key industry engagement activities, events, and pre-employment and training programs for participants and employer partners
* Collaborating with Marketing to develop promotional materials and run events such as prison job expos, employer, and employability skills sessions
* Working with Employment Mentors and internal teams to achieve employment outcomes and KPIs
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Passion for connecting people with meaningful employment and supporting successful reintegration
* Experience in employment services, recruitment, labour hire, or community services
* Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with employers and stakeholders
* Confident in applying recruitment, negotiation, and advocacy skills to achieve outcomes
* Culturally competent, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants
* Organised, proactive, and able to meet performance and reporting requirements
* Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and data-driven in approach
* Qualified (or willing to obtain) a Certificate IV in Employment Services, Career Development, or Community Services
* Holding a current driver's licence and able to travel extensively across the Northern Territory
