**Job Description**
The Quality Improvement Officer role plays a crucial part in our organization, focusing on advancing quality management practices associated with delivering care to recipients. This full-time position is based in Cairns and involves providing on-the-ground support, guidance, and advice on quality management and improvement while collaborating closely with the central Quality & Compliance Team.
This team player will assess systems and processes against established standards to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing quality and compliance. Additionally, they will support and monitor key elements of the quality management system, including incident reviews, recipient feedback, and risk concerns.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop, evaluate, and improve policies, procedures, and frameworks to maintain high standards and compliance within the organization.
* Conduct regular self-assessments and quality audits to monitor quality performance and provide training and guidance to staff on compliance and quality requirements.
* Support operational leadership with quality monitoring and reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications

* A strong understanding of quality management systems.
* Familiarity with quality standards, including NDIS Standards, Human Services Quality Framework, and National Standards for Mental Health Services.
* A high level of attention to detail.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A commitment to best practice.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Autonomy to work independently.
* Strong administrative skills, including intermediate-level MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
