The Role
Take charge and collaborate with a team of operators in a yard space that has materials coming in and out of it all the time. You will be handling various steel materials in a safe and efficient way for transportation.
Responsibilities
* Attending to inbound and outbound trucks to assist with unloading/loading of products.
* Conduct general labouring where required – minor lifting and moving.
* Checking material logs and ensuring what you pull off/put on is tracked/checked.
* Quality assurance – checking for impurities or defects.
* Oversee yard and ensure tidiness is on point.
Hours
5/6am - 2pm is the general shift start and finish times.
About You
* Proven experience dealing with ugly freight – Steel, wood, machinery etc.
* Team player attitude.
* Happy to pitch in where required.
* LF Ticket.
* Sense of humour.
