As an Asset Protection Supervisor, administer Council's Asset Protection Program. Inspect assets, assess road consents, supervise service authorities, and ensure compliance with Council standards. Manage minor civil construction projects and coordinate traffic signal programs.

- Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills

- Familiarity with Road Management Act and Road Management Plan
- Ability to read and interpret plans and understand specifications
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Inspection of Council's assets before building works
- Determination of service authority asset alignments
- Inspection of unit development work for drainage and civil compliance
- Supervision of minor civil construction projects
- Coordination of Council's traffic signal program and maintenance contract
- Adherence to Road Management Act and relevant legislation
- Enforcement action for breaches under the General Local Law
- Case management of Asset Protection issues
- Contribution to policy development for Asset Protection
**Specialist Knowledge and Skill**:
- Ability to read and interpret plans and understand specifications
- Knowledge of current civil construction requirements
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety practices
- Extensive knowledge of Local Government Act, Local Law, and regulations
- Provide specialist knowledge to Engineering and Planning Departments
- Problem-solving skills for on-site engineering issues
- Knowledge of Australian Standards for Traffic Management
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Supervision or project management experience in contract works
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to handle conflict and stressful situations
- Current unrestricted Victorian Driver's License
- Experience in using Authority and Council's CRM System desirable
- Local Government experience is desirable
