Your new role
As a Quality Engineer based at ASC West - Henderson, you will join the Governance & Assurance team to implement, monitor, and improve quality systems across submarine maintenance programs. You'll ensure compliance with ASC standards, defence specifications, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement in project delivery and product integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
* Document and enhance quality requirements against specifications and international standards.
* Conduct systems, process, and product audits.
* Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
* Support compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards.
* Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and supplier assurance teams.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or Chemistry.
* Diploma in Quality and Lead Auditor certification (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
* Six Sigma Green Belt.
* Proven experience in manufacturing or maintenance within a complex engineering environment.
* Strong knowledge of quality assurance standards, configuration, and change management.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Submarine or ship operation, maintenance, or design experience is highly regarded.
* Ability to gain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance.
