Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to provide specialist assistance to students with additional learning and support needs at our campus.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to differentiate curriculum and support assessment for learning, creating a tailored approach that caters to the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs;
* Assist with data collection and reporting on students with disability, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for educational planning;
* Implement, model, monitor, and review individualized education programs (IEPs) to enrich learning for students with additional needs, promoting their academic growth and social development;
* Contribute to a caring and multi-disciplinary team that supports the learning and wellbeing needs of students, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
Qualifications and Skills Required
* Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (secondary) and/or experience teaching such students in regular classes;
* Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students with additional learning and support needs and their teachers, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances;
* Proven ability to differentiate curriculum and support assessment for learning, utilising evidence-based strategies and technologies to enhance student outcomes;
* Competent in data collection and reporting, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and effective communication.
