The Role
As a Cost Engineer within the Commercial Team for Snowy 2.0, you won't just track numbers; you'll be the

responsible for gathering, managing, and rigorously analysing critical time and cost data. Your expertise will directly and constructively

of this monumental, nation-building infrastructure project.

This is a secure,
2-year fixed-term role
based in
Cooma
, with potential for extension to match the project's long-term demands. To welcome you to the beautiful Snowy Mountains region, we offer a
generous relocation package

FIFO (Fly-In/Fly-Out) 5:2 roster
will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Own
the project's financial integrity by applying rigorous project controls and procedures.
Collaborate
with contractors to ensure accurate and correct cost allocation.
Conduct
detailed, regular forecasting to maintain budget and schedule alignment.
Execute
Earned Value (EV) and productivity analysis for performance reporting.
Proactively highlight
financial risks and opportunities to influence strategy.
Generate
high-impact cost engineering reports in collaboration with key supply chain teams.
Perform
site measures and audits to verify physical works completion.
Carry out
detailed time and work studies to identify and drive efficiency gains.
Maintain
absolute confidentiality around sensitive and commercial project data.
Act
as a direct cost engineering specialist under the guidance of the Senior Commercial Team.
Serve
as a key resource, providing timely financial support to the wider Project Team.
About you
A solid foundation in project finance and controls - this includes a relevant degree in
Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or Finance
, complemented by experience
dedicated to Project Controls experience
on large-scale, complex infrastructure, mining, or major construction projects.
You must demonstrate a high level of
commercial acumen
and a thorough working knowledge of project control processes and procedures, including hands-on experience with
Cost Management systems
. Crucially, you possess strong
analytical and problem-solving skills

excellent engagement skills
that enable effective communication—both verbally and in writing—with a wide range of project personnel.
