Disability Support Worker Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to individuals with disabilities, prioritising their care and well-being.
You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences, creating tailored support plans that help them achieve their goals. This may involve:
* Providing person-centred supports in age-appropriate activities and tasks
* Supporting clients to access community activities and outings
* Delivering direct personal care assistance as per the client's plan and team leader's direction
* Ensuring completion of accurate documentation and recording relevant information in client notes
* Actively contributing to a team environment through open communication and participation in regular meetings and planning processes
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* COVID-19 vaccinations
* Medication Certificate
* Manual Handling certificate
* National Police check
* NDIS Worker Screening check
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificates
* A full driver's licence and unrestricted access to a vehicle
