Overview
We are seeking a Data/Actuarial analyst to join our Pricing and Analytics team within the Actuarial function. Reporting to the Senior Actuarial Manager, this role offers the opportunity to work on complex datasets, develop insightful reporting, and support data-driven decision-making that shapes underwriting and risk strategies.
What you’ll do
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets using statistical and analytical techniques to deliver actionable insights.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor performance and support business decisions.
- Work with data engineers to ensure high-quality, well-structured datasets for analysis.
- Support predictive modelling, scenario testing, and risk pricing.
- Identify and integrate recent datasets to enhance business intelligence.
- Contribute to improvements in data governance and data management frameworks.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a data analytics role (insurance or banking experience highly regarded but not essential).
- Degree in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel; familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Python or R is an advantage.
- Strong statistical and mathematical foundations with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Business acumen and a passion for solving real-world problems with data.

Compensation
Base pay range: A$100,000.00/yr - A$130,000.00/yr. This range is provided by SKL Actuarial. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
