Overview
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly experienced and vibrant team implementing a comprehensive music program with a strong foundation in choral, band and dance performance. Having prior skilled performance experience, as well as being able to teach performance techniques, would be seen as an advantage.
We welcome applications from specialists in piano who are committed to fostering a love of music and excellence in student performance.
The role would involve at least one full day at our Junior Campus, working with our Kindergarten to Year 4 students. It is important you are conversant with and willing to teach across a wide range of musical styles. The specific day is flexible, and there is a possibility of additional days/hours.
This will be discussed further with the successful candidate.
- Classification: Private contractor, billing directly to parents
- Hourly Rate: $94.00
- Reports to the Director of Performing Arts
Responsibilities
- Development and management of individual learning plans for students
- Fostering student performance opportunities
- Collaboration with classroom, instrumental and ensemble teachers to ensure performances complement teaching and learning priorities
Qualifications
Prior professional performance experience and the ability to teach performance techniques are advantageous. The role requires specialization in piano and a commitment to fostering student excellence across a broad range of musical styles.
