Senior Accountant - Public Practice | Geelong

Your Role:
As a valued team member, you'll play an integral part in delivering tax and compliance services while also mentoring junior staff and supporting client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing annual financial statements, tax returns, and business activity statements (BAS).
* Guiding junior staff in technical tasks
* Promoting a positive, client-centric team culture.
* Participating in internal training and continuous learning initiatives.
* Assisting senior leadership with research, and advisory projects.
* Staying current with evolving accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
About You:
You are a motivated accounting professional who thrives in a supportive, high-performing environment. You will have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Business (or similar discipline).
* CA or CPA qualification (completed or in final stages).
* At least 4 years of experience in a public practice or similar accounting role.
* Confidence in preparing complex tax returns and understanding tax legislation.
* Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
* A proactive attitude towards learning and career advancement.
* Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and cloud accounting tools like Xero and MYOB.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
