**Job description**:
Our client, a local government department, is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to join their team on a temporary basis for 6 months.

This newly created role requires the engagement of a highly experienced Portfolio Master Scheduler who can support the development and implementation of effective portfolio scheduling principles and frameworks.

**The Master Scheduler will be responsible for**:

- Developing and maintaining a master schedule for the portfolio as well as fit for purpose standards, guidelines and ways of working.
- Collaborate with Program and Project Managers across the portfolio to develop project schedules for integration into the master program schedule.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Change Lead to integrate the comprehensive change schedule into the master schedule.
- Undertake critical path analysis and identify dependencies and monitor various progress indicators against baselines.
- Analyse progress, identify problem areas, and establish current position and forecasting trends.
- Provide regular reporting, highlighting key risks and issues affecting the portfolio and recommend mitigation strategies.

**To be successful in this role you will need to have the following competencies & skill level**:

- Significant experience in project management, and advanced scheduling.
- Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio, program and project management frameworks, processes and practices.
- Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining an integrated master schedule from multiple projects and vendors and defining critical path.
- Knowledge of and experience with software development lifecycles, water fall and agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to evaluate, interpret, identify trends, and report data and portfolio outcomes to inform effective decision making.
- Excellent communication skills and robust stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Project Online, JIRA and Business Intelligence Dashboards.
