About The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Commercial Credit Manager to join our Credit Department in this newly created position! As our Commercial Credit Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing our unregulated business, commercial, and agribusiness lending portfolio, maintaining exceptional credit quality and ensuring robust lending controls. You’ll help shape and implement risk strategies that align with our broader business objectives, supporting growth while safeguarding the strength and integrity of our portfolio. This is a middle management role, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Lending (Credit), and offers a strong opportunity for career progression for the right applicant. You’ll have the chance to develop your expertise and leadership capabilities while contributing to our ambitious business, commercial, and agribusiness growth strategy. This is a full-time prospect with the flexibility of being located at our Townsville Head Office or Brisbane Admin Office.
About You
- Ability to perform detailed commercial credit analysis as well as deep financial and risk analysis including the ability to understand complex financial statements and structures
- Significant banking or financial services experience including holding of a Commercial Delegated Lending Authority
- Minimum of two years relevant problem‑free experience and either Credit Industry qualifications to at least a Certificate IV level; or a Diploma or University Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Ability to hold the position of Responsible Manager on Queensland Country Bank’s Australian Credit Licence (ACL)
- Understanding of the Regulatory Framework of APRA and ASIC
- Experience in the preparation of reports and papers, as well as reviewing and revising policies and procedures
- Demonstrated self‑management skills including ability to adapt to changes and an organised and disciplined operating rhythm
