About the Role

Provide senior clinical leadership within Social Work service provision for palliative care patients in ambulatory care settings, including optimisation of care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff including the provision of supervision and direction to Level 1/2 staff and students on clinical placements in accordance with the award.

Ideal Candidate

* Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Must have Current NSW Drivers Licence (P2 Licence acceptable).
* Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of social work services in a palliative care setting, at Level 2 or higher.
* Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as per of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/client outcomes.
* Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and students.
* Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
* Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
