Water and Sewer Process Coordinator - Early 2026 Commencement

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Water and Sewer Process Coordinator to join our team

The Mid-Western Region is located in the Central Tablelands of NSW, just over 3 hours from Sydney. The Job Opportunity:

* Co-ordination of resources and work practices of the process team to ensure operation and control of treatment plants, water storages and pump stations in accordance with Council's Drinking Water Management System, EPA licence conditions and agreed Levels of Service.
* Conduct preventative and operational maintenance scheduling of water and sewer infrastructure, fleet and equipment utilised by the team.
* Co-ordinate a team of Operators, electrical and mechanical trades team including provision of ongoing performance feedback.
* Provide leadership, technical support and guidance to staff and respond to process alarms and abnormal conditions, and implement corrective actions.
* Perform emergency response and participate in on‑call supervisory roster and optimise process, maximise productivity and seek cost‑effective solutions.
* Assist in implementation of management support systems and in the development of budgets.
* Monitor and report on expenditure for operation and maintenance activities.
* Support and co‑coordinate the process team's participation in the implementation and review of Council's Drinking Water Management System and Dam Safety Management System.
* Support and co‑coordinate the process team's participation in the implementation and review of Council's Pollution Incident Response Management Plans for sewerage systems in accordance with legislative requirements.
* Review process performance and assist in adjustment, optimisation and troubleshooting of water and sewage treatment processes.
* Coordinate and deliver projects and outcomes in accordance with Council's budget allocations and strategic priorities.
* Engage and co‑coordinate contractors in accordance with Council's policies, procedures and delegations.


To Thrive in Your New Role:

* You will lead the Trades and Process Operations teams in contributing to efficient critical service delivery within regulatory requirements.
* The Process Coordinator will develop and execute annual operation, maintenance and renewal programs specific to water and sewer treatment process facilities including treatment plants, pump stations and reservoirs.

This role requires a satisfactory Police History Criminal Check prior to commencing.
