About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Junior/Graduate Estimator to join our growing Perth-based team. This is a full-time role based at our West Perth head office, with ad hoc visits to our various projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a long-term career in civil construction estimating.
You will work closely with experienced Estimators and the broader project team to support the preparation of tenders and proposals across a diverse range of civil projects, including earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete works, and other infrastructure packages.
This role will provide hands-on exposure to first-principle estimating, tender preparation, and pre-contracts processes, with structured support, mentoring, and ongoing development.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing first-principle cost estimates across a range of civil disciplines.
* Support material quantity take-offs and preparation of bills of quantities.
* Assist with compiling tenders and submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
* Contribute to construction methodologies, schedules, and supporting submission documentation.
* Review tender documents to identify risks, ambiguities, and clarifications, escalating queries to senior team members.
* Support tender handovers to pre-contracts and project delivery teams.
* Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
* Work collaboratively within the estimating team to meet tender deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Graduate or early-career experience within the civil construction industry is highly regarded.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
* Exposure to estimating, scheduling, or take-off software (e.g. MS Project, Bluebeam, 12D, AGTEK, or similar) is advantageous.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to deliver high quality wok.
* Ability to work well in a team environment and manage competing priorities.
