About The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plant Operator to join our Civil team.
This role is responsible for operating multiple items of mobile plant and equipment and assisting in a wide range of maintenance, repair, and construction activities across civil infrastructure projects.
In this role, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Operating a range of mobile plant and heavy vehicles (e.g. roller, excavator, backhoe, water truck, truck and dog, front-end loader).
Assisting with road and drainage construction, concreting, pipe laying, and asphalt/bitumen works.
Ensuring safe work practices are followed at all times and completing required documentation.
Supporting the civil works team on maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
Participating in after-hours or emergency response work when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
Demonstrated experience operating a range of mobile plant equipment, including Roller, Front-end Loader, Backhoe, Water Truck, Excavator, Truck and Dog.
Current Class 'HR' Driver's Licence with industry skills and extensive experience driving a heavy rigid motor vehicle.
Extensive experience in roads and drainage construction and maintenance activities.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment to achieve outcomes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work outside normal working hours as required.
Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card, plus Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Part 1 & 2 and Traffic Management Implementation accreditation (or willingness to attain).
Desirable: HC Licence.
