Senior WHS Advisor – Transport Team, Ventia
Location: Bowen Hills, Queensland, 4006 – Permanent. The role acts as a key interface between the WHS Manager and operational delivery teams, driving safety, compliance and continuous improvement across projects in a high‐performing transport environment.

Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain WHS/SHEQ systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and client requirements
* Conduct audits, inspections and critical control checks across high‐risk environments
* Lead incident investigations (ICAM) and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
* Provide expert advice and practical safety solutions to operational teams
* Deliver training, toolbox talks and coaching to embed a strong safety culture
* Support contractor onboarding, compliance and performance monitoring
* Analyse WHS data and report on trends, insights and performance outcomes
* Partner with stakeholders across field teams, leadership and client representatives
Required Skills and Experience
* CertIV / Diploma in WHS
* Current driver's licence
* Construction white card
* ICAM Lead Investigator (or working towards)
* Lead auditor certification and CertIV Training & Assessment (highly regarded)
* Strong experience in high‐risk industries (e.g. roads, tunnels, construction)
* Solid understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and incident causation
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage with frontline teams and the client
