Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned construction leader to spearhead the delivery of residential and community development projects across Queensland.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction operations, managing subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring schedules and budgets, and ensuring adherence to all building, safety, and quality standards.
1. Leadership Role: Oversee and coordinate all day-to-day site construction activities, setting the tone for a high-performing team.
2. Schedule Management: Manage build schedules, sequencing, and critical path programs to meet key milestones and deliver projects on time.
3. Subcontractor Oversight: Supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and workmanship quality, maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.
4. Design Review: Review drawings, plans, and specifications for buildability and compliance with design intent, identifying areas for improvement.
5. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and WHS audits to maintain a zero-harm culture, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.
6. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with QBCC regulations, NCC standards, and council development conditions, staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
7. Collaboration: Liaise with project managers, engineers, certifiers, and consultants to resolve technical issues promptly, fostering effective communication and collaboration among team members.
8. Progress Tracking: Track site progress, maintain accurate reporting, and communicate updates to head office, ensuring seamless project management.
9. Project Closeout: Support commissioning, defects inspections, and handover processes to ensure project closeout meets GRW standards, delivering exceptional results.
