About the Role
You will be part of their state-wide Education and Outreach Program, working closely with educational institutions, schools, external stakeholders, and RSPCA staff. Your key responsibilities include:
1. Developing education and learning programs that initiate attitudinal and behavioural change.
2. Conducting shelter tours and liaising with internal departments.
3. Providing a quality learning environment for students and visitors by using various styles to deliver tailored programs.
4. Delivering educational programs to community groups, stakeholders, and community members.
5. Ensuring the welfare of education animals at all times and following applicable policies and ethics framework requirements.
6. Assisting with all administration functions, including preparing materials, reports, and arranging bookings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with the following skills and experience:
* A valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
* A National criminal history check and working with children check.
* A current tetanus vaccination.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Vocational Education & Training.
* Animal handling and husbandry knowledge and experience.
* The ability to cope well under pressure and multi-task.
* Demonstrated experience maintaining strong partnerships and relationship development.
* Extensive experience in facilitation and mentoring.
* High level communication skills (written, oral, liaison, and presentation).
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
