Research Support and Scholarly Communication Leader
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Scholarly Communication and Research Outputs. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of high-performing staff and overseeing the research support services for the Library. You will also be responsible for two complex projects progressing the open agenda across the university, and serve as a member of the Information Leadership Team.
As a leader in scholarly communication and research outputs, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of research support and scholarly communication at Deakin University. You will work closely with the Information Leadership Team to develop and implement local plans that align with the university's research strategy. You will monitor progress, assess risks, and adapt priorities to ensure successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research support, scholarly communication, and library services. They must have experience working with diverse stakeholders, including researchers, faculty members, and students. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as librarianship or information science, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
