Casual Kennel Attendant / Receptionist –

We provide first-class accommodation, care and services for cats and dogs, and we’re looking for a motivated Casual Kennel Attendant / Receptionist to join our friendly Southern Highlands team.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on animal care with front-of-house customer service, in a role where no two days are the same.
About you 
- You have a passion for animals AND people and find energy in combining both!
- You have previous experience in animal care or hospitality/customer service (12 months+ preferred)
- You are friendly and professional with strong communication skills
- You have a current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- You’re flexible to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and holiday periods (Xmas/New Year included)
- You have full Australian working rights.
- You have the ability to work independently, but also value working in a great team
- You have the experience, or aptitude and ability to learn reservation systems
- You have a positive, solutions focused outlook
- Qualification in Companion Animal Services (or similar) OR animal experience
- Dog training experience and/or knowledge
What you’ll do
This is a diverse role where no two days are the same! In this position you will:
- Be the welcoming face of our resort – greeting clients, answering calls, managing bookings, and processing payments alongside general administrative duties.
- Care for pets – feeding, cleaning enclosures, exercising, and providing enrichment to ensure they’re happy and healthy during their stay.
- Following Procedures – safety and protocol are extremely important to the health and safety of our animal guests AND human workers. You will be keen to follow processes and maintain a safe workplace.
- Support operations – from maintaining clean, safe enclosures to assisting with administration and reception tasks.
