About the Role
As a Regional Coordinator, you will play a vital part in empowering carers in Esperance. This full-time, fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

The position is primarily focused on outreach, providing access to information, capacity building, and increasing networks of support for carers. Your duties may include:
* Assisting with emergency respite referrals, caseload management, Carer Star assessments, and supporting planners to source and arrange service coordination.
* Promoting Carers WA Programs by providing input and feedback regarding the caring role, Carers Recognition Act, and the Carers Charter.
* Hosting monthly regional social support groups, assisting with regional pop-up presentations, and information sessions.
* Educating family carers, service providers, and mainstream organisations about the important role of unpaid carers and available assistance.
* Working with existing Carers WA processes and systems, ensuring an accessible and inclusive workplace.

About You
We are seeking an individual with relevant qualifications or at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector. You should have experience working with carers, people who are aged, have a disability, mental health issues, and/or chronic illness. Additionally, you should possess high-level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual communication modes, as well as a current C-class driver's license, is also required.

Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary package, including salary packaging and added leave. You will also have access to EAP services and career progression opportunities within a supportive and collaborative work environment. We promote a workplace free from physical and psychological harm and acknowledge that some roles may involve exposure to traumatic narratives. However, we will mitigate the impact of this exposure wherever possible.

What We Offer
In return for your dedication and expertise, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including training and development opportunities, a friendly and supportive work environment, and career progression opportunities. We value diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, LGBTIQA+ individuals, neurodiverse people, carers, and people with disabilities. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know how we can best support you.
