About the opportunity
Join the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH) as an Internal Communications Officer and play a key role in connecting people, sharing stories, and bringing strategic priorities to life across one of Australia's leading health faculties. This is a targeted Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Position. While we welcome applications from all candidates, this is a targeted role for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Full time, 12 months fixed term. Base Salary $103,185 + 17% superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Deliver internal communications aligned with faculty strategy and priorities.
* Create and manage engaging, multi‐channel content (newsletters, intranet, video, EDMs, digital signage).
* Design and execute communication campaigns and staff engagement initiatives.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships to source stories and promote faculty initiatives.
* Manage and optimise communication platforms (intranet, SharePoint, Emma HQ, Swift Digital and other EDM systems).
* Support engagement activities, including planning and delivery.
About you
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading ability.
* Proven experience in content creation across multiple channels and formats.
* Experience delivering communication campaigns and engagement initiatives.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
* Experience using Office 365, SharePoint, Emma HQ, Swift Digital and other EDM platforms (higher education or similar environments desirable).
* Experience working on video projects (desirable).
