Overview
This position is responsible for managing front desk operations in a hotel setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
* Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, provide information on hotel facilities and services, and provide general information about points of interest in the area.
* Clerical Duties: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, follow emergency and safety procedures, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide customer service.
* Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, contact customers to deliver requested wake-up calls, and assist clients/guests with special needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience: Multi-line switchboard experience, word processing software skills, database software experience, central reservation system (CRS) knowledge, and spreadsheet skills.
* Internet Proficiency: Internet proficiency and Opera experience are also required.
