It is an exciting time at Macquarie Bank as we look to expand our team of designers and researchers, within our client engagement division. As a service designer, you will be part of a strategic design team that encompasses Research, Product, and Service Design. Our mission is to deliver a first-class digital experience to clients, advisers, brokers and employees.

This is a transformational role, working to change how we interact with our clients. A systems thinker with a curious mind would be a perfect fit for this role. In addition to solving big problems, you enjoy learning new things and using Human-Centered Design. Research is essential in this role. We need to understand how people, processes, and technology work across many teams. You will need to work as part of a team and liaise with designers, architects, engineers, analysts and SMEs (Subject matter experts).

**What you will do**:

- Use exploratory, generative, and evaluative research to uncover customer pain points and opportunities.
- Develop prototypes and Service Design artifacts such as journey maps and service blueprints
- Design customer-centric service and product solutions within a complex ecosystem
- Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, product managers, researchers and designers
- Advocate for the customer through research findings to diverse audiences
- Challenge established thinking and develop creative approaches to complex design problems.
- Facilitate in-person and remote workshops.

**What we are looking for**:

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in design and recent experience as a Service Designer
- A strong portfolio highlighting knowledge and experience in Service Design across varied users, business problems, and devices.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong research, design, and prototyping skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality artefacts, e.g., journey maps.
- Skilled at using Figma
- Comfortable in an agile environment and resilient in the face of shifting priorities.
- Endless curiosity about how people use technology and how to create engaging experiences
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, inspired by group critique.
