ALS Coal is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Coal Quality Tester to join our well-established team in Richlands in our sample preparation area. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to grow a career in the Coal Industry.
As a Coal Quality Tester, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Physical Testing Laboratory. You'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality analytical results, meeting turnaround time targets, and maintaining the highest standards in safety, client service, and productivity.
Day to Day
Contribute to the development, review, and continual improvement of quality systems and proceduresSorting bags of samples (weighing up to 16kg)Operating sample preparation equipment (weighing scales, crushers, pulverisers, etc.)Performing routine manual tasking in a coal processing environmentProcess samples efficiently without compromising accuracy or qualityPerform general laboratory duties, including cleaning and maintenance of work areasEnsuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructionsA range of physical tests including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing and sample storageHands on physical work
