About The Role
Work one day a week as a Respiratory Protection Program Coordinator / Fit Tester, working across Calvary Lenah Valley and St Johns Hospitals. In this role, you will fit test staff who need to wear respiratory protective equipment, show them how to correctly use their masks, and help schedule and record fit tests. You will also help look after the fit-testing equipment and keep accurate records and reports to support staff safety.
About You
Trained in respirator fit testing (in line with Resp-Fit competency requirements), with strong knowledge of quantitative/qualitative fit testing, RPE/RPD use, airborne precautions, and Australian StandardsProven experience in health/aged care settings, with skills in scheduling, data management, reporting, and administration of safety programsExcellent communication skills for educating staff on donning/doffing PPE, fit checking, and minimising respiratory risks; ability to troubleshoot failed fit tests and escalate issuesProficient in computer systems, with good planning, prioritisation, and autonomous working abilitiesCommitment to Calvary's values (hospitality, healing, stewardship, respect) and WHS responsibilities, including ongoing professional development
