Job Description
The Embedded Youth Outreach Program is a community-led initiative designed to support young people at risk. This includes those in custody, disengaged from family and peers, involved in high-risk behaviors, or victims of crime.
This role involves working alongside law enforcement members to engage with young people and their families, assessing needs and providing tailored support services.
About the Role
This position requires building strong relationships with young people and their families, understanding trauma, family dynamics, offending behavior, victimization, high-risk behaviors, and available supports.
You will work closely with law enforcement members to provide approaches that differ from traditional policing to aid engagement with youth.
Roster
The roster consists of operational shifts within local police stations and non-operational shifts worked from home, including face-to-face team meetings conducted from local office space.
