The opportunity
The City of Mandurah is looking for an experienced Team Leader to lead and coordinate the work of a small team in undertaking drainage maintenance program works including the operation of gully educting equipment, drainage maintenance, jetting, vacuum, non-destructive digging and liquid waste removal. As well as planning, scheduling work orders and preparing costing information the Team Leader is responsible for ensuring team performance and quality standards are maintained.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum of five years' (5) previous experience in a civil and road maintenance environment
* Two years' experience operating vacuum trucks in civil maintenance and construction environments
* Experience supervising employees and contractors and conducting practical staff training
* Current unrestricted HR (Heavy Rigid) class national driver's licence
* Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management
* Current White Card
* Thorough knowledge of drainage construction and maintenance techniques, methods and quality control procedures
* Knowledge of materials and equipment, estimating, budgetary preparation and control, costing, scheduling and administration
