ASIC's Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) group is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join their team. The successful candidate will lead and manage the project product backlog within a large, complex technology transformation project.
Position Details
* 24-month fixed term position based in either Sydney or Melbourne
* Salary from $152,074 up to $163,970 (depending on experience) + 15.4% superannuation
Responsibilities
* Manage the project product backlog, collaborating with Project Managers and Product Owners to track task delivery within the agreed sprint.
* Drive backlog grooming and sprint planning.
* Provide sprint reporting to support project status updates.
* Identify and resolve product backlog blockers with Project Managers and Product Owners.
* Contribute to Project Board reporting as needed.
* Lead and coach agile process adoption across project teams.
* Monitor and Escalate any additional scope items added to the product backlog.
* Identify delivery capacity per sprint with resource teams.
* Ensure decisions are made by the agreed stakeholders in collaboration with Project Managers and Product Owners.
* Communicate project updates to key stakeholders with the Sponsor, Project Managers and Product Owners.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive practical experience.
* Scrum Master certification.
* Strong leadership, organisational, communication, and engagement skills.
* Experience as a Scrum Master for large-scale projects.
* In-depth knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (e.g., definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
* Familiarity with software development.
* Proficient in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
* Ability to present complex information effectively to both project and executive-level audiences, verbally and in writing.
* Extensive experience working within large-scale, complex banking and finance organisations.
