About the client: Our client is a major telecommunications and technology infrastructure provider, playing a key role in transforming the digital landscape of the nation.
About the role Our client is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build and operate enterprise-scale Azure environments. This role will be heavily involved in cloud migration initiatives and ongoing platform operations, requiring strong security and networking expertise. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently and contributing immediately.
Responsibilities
* Design, build and operate Azure cloud infrastructure across multiple environments
* Deliver and support large-scale cloud migration projects (on-prem to Azure and/or hybrid)
* Implement and maintain Azure security best practices and governance controls
* Collaborate with application, security and network teams to deliver resilient solutions
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure infrastructure and networking issues
* Drive operational improvements, automation and standardisation
* Provide technical guidance and hands-on support across delivery teams
Required Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years hands-on Azure experience across design, build and operations
* Strong experience with core Azure services (e.g. Virtual Networks, Azure AD, VM, Storage, SQL, AKS)
* Broad cloud security knowledge, including identity, network security, encryption and monitoring
* Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing)
* Proven experience delivering large cloud migration projects
* Experience supporting live production environments
* Self-starter mindset with the ability to hit the ground running
Desirable
* Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g. Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
* CI/CD and automation experience
* Azure certifications (Associate or Expert)
