What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of this position is to:
1. Provide stewardship of SCHN's Information Security Management System (ISMS) to ensure the appropriate level of security controls are implemented, ensuring effective operation and governance
2. Provide strategy and leadership for continuous information security improvement in line with relevant eHealth and NSW Health strategies and standards
3. Oversee and manage the coordination of security responses as demanded from both local level and NSW Health
4. Extensive demonstrated experience and a record of achievement working on both management and technical levels in an enterprise-wide Information Security & Risk environment, ideally within Federal/State Government/Health industry.
5. Demonstrated experiences in uplifting an organisation to meet security standards such as ISO27001/27002.
6. Superior analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, exercise independent judgement in a dynamic interagency policy environment.
7. Excellent oral, written communication skills and presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to executive, stakeholders and large groups.
8. Proven capacity to contribute to and implement strategic initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage.
9. Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
10. Demonstrated experience with the preparation, presentation of analysis and reporting within a short timeframe.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Applicants holding visas with working rights may be considered for temporary appointment (up to the expiry date of their visa) where no suitable local applicant is identified. Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
