About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Stores Assistant to join our team at Brisbane Airport. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient acceptance of inbound goods and stores destined for use in the catering area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure goods required by the catering team are available on time and in the required quantities.
* Inspect delivered items for acceptable hygiene and other specifications.
* Maintain accurate records of stock levels and rotation.
* Manage the storage facility to ensure space is available for incoming goods as required.
* Implement and maintain the company's policy in relation to HACCP, QSAI, and WHS in accordance with Federal and State Government Regulations.
* Verify perishable items are properly labeled and stored.
Requirements:
* Current Forklift license (high reach preferred).
* Experience using manual and automated pallet jacks.
* Good knowledge of basic HACCP/Food Safety and QSAI requirements.
* Basic understanding of Halal policies and procedures.
* Good knowledge of WHS.
* Good Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent organizational and product knowledge.
