Exciting opportunity to join Australia's Most awarded Superyacht Marina and Shipyard.
Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard is well established in the Coomera Marine Precinct offering full service and storage options to local vessels and those travelling from afar in search of Service Paradise.
Considerable investment has been made to make this state of art facility the prime location in Australia to have vessels maintained and serviced to the highest industry standards, supported by key functionality including:
• 50 and 300-tonne haul-out capacity Straddle carriers
• 55m length capacity
• Various forklift capacities to 13t, including negative lift.
• 45-tonne hydraulic yard trailer
• 4 Superyacht refit sheds
• 9 Fit-out sheds
• 70 dedicated hardstand positions
• 80 dedicated individual marine businesses on site including antifoul, shipwright, mechanical and electrical services, with up to 700 contractors onsite working at any one time.
• Dedicated GCCM onsite project management team
• 24/7 fuel
Role Overview:
Do you like boats? This is your chance to join an enthusiastic team in a fast-paced marine service environment with training provided to advance your skills in all aspects of yard operations and associated waterfront activities.

Reporting to the Dry Store Manager, your key tasks will consist of but not limited to:
• Safe and efficient operation as part of the Team of boat forklift, Hydraulic yard trailer and associated hardstand equipment.
• Ensuring that lifting, standing and launching works are completed safely and in line with expected time constraints. Maintaining the dry store cleanly and safely.
• Working closely with team members to achieve safe and efficient daily yard operations.
• Ensuring maintenance of lifting equipment to ensure optimum working conditions.
• Making sure that vessels are lifted on time and to industry standard.
• Daily meetings with facility management to detail activities and following day schedules.
Qualifications, Education & Training Requirements:
• Marine industry experience, including straddle carrier operations is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to manoeuvre vessels
• A forklift License is compulsory
Current boat license is preferred but not essential.
• Reliable and punctual.
• A car license is essential.
• Australian Residency
• Awareness of workplace safety, health, quality and environmental standards.
Experience in boat yard work is preferred but not essential.
Other Requirements:
• Full health medical
• Ability to perform physical work and manual handling
