About the Role:
Join Kids Hub as a Multicultural Community Engagement Officer and help make our services welcoming, accessible, and culturally responsive for children and families from diverse backgrounds. In this role, you'll build strong relationships with multicultural communities, community leaders, and partner organisations, acting as a bridge between families and Kids Hub services.
You will promote awareness, access, and participation in Kids Hub programs through trusted engagement, culturally safe practice, and community-informed approaches. Working collaboratively with internal teams, you'll provide cultural insights, support inclusive practice, and ensure community voices shape service delivery. A trauma-informed, strengths-based approach underpins all work, recognising both the challenges and resilience of multicultural families.
Experience Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in stakeholder support and high-level community engagement.
* Demonstrated experience coordinating committees and groups in a reliable manner that shows initiative and accountability.
* Demonstrated capacity to work across a Consortium environment and respond effectively to organisational change.
* Experience supporting or contributing to innovative approaches to engagement with children, families, and significant others.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
* Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
* Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
* Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in either Community Development, Social Planning, Social/Behavioural Science, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Health Sciences (Health Promotion) or other relevant field. Or demonstrated substantial and extensive experience in the youth sector
