We are seeking an experienced paint salesperson to join the team in our Rockhampton store.
Ideally, the successful applicant will already have experience working in a sales environment with a good knowledge of architectural paint products, but all candidates with transferable experience will be considered.
This is a full-time position.
As a paint salesperson, you will report to the Store Manager and be responsible for supporting the following:
* Delivering excellent customer service across all product lines, including automotive, marine, industrial and house paints, plus consumables
* Assisting with point-of-sale and administrative duties, including invoicing and sales processing
* Supporting warehouse operations when required
* Building strong relationships with customers and trade partners to enhance the Group's reputation and brand
Your role
Working closely with the Store Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring a commitment to providing a professional customer experience for all customers.
* Answering and processing customer orders via telephone and email.
* Processing and invoicing customer orders using point-of-sale systems
* Provide quotations to customers in a timely manner.
* Presentation and housekeeping of the showroom and also warehouse, including in-house cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping, wiping down shelves and counters and other spot cleaning tasks as required.
* Receipting incoming stock against purchase orders.
* Maintaining inventory records, picking and packing orders received and organising delivery of orders to customers either in person or through a freight provider.
* Resolution of customer enquiries and where they arise complaints and concerns.
* Use of computer software and supporting equipment for the purpose of colour matching paint samples.
* Tinting and mixing paint to customer specifications
* Adherence to Workplace, Health and Safety requirements and procedures.
* Supporting general store and warehouse duties as directed

* Pride in your ability to build long-term customer relationships.
* Strong organisation and time management skills.
* A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Physical aptitude to manage weights upwards of 20kg.
* Experience in the same or similar industries.
* A current forklift license (preferred but not necessary).
