Overview
* Based at Sutton Park Residential Aged Care home in Melton South
* Permanent Part-time, 26 hrs per week
* Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Sutton Park Residential Aged Care home. Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.
Key duties
* Hands-on repairs and maintenance
* General maintenance; painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves
* Monitor stock levels of consumables and re-order where required
* Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service 24/7
To be successful, you will have
* Experience in maintenance duties, preferably in an aged care environment
* Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
* Current valid drivers' licence
* Evidence of Australian work rights
* Current national police check (or willing to obtain)
* Flu Vaccination (Recommended)
* A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
* Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service 24/7
